Tyra Griffin AAAS234 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 11/20/2025	Professor Griffin is a cool person, but the course itself isn't a great experience. She has only put grades in once, and the semester is over in less than a month. She doesn't really "teach," either. She dumps 40+ page readings on you to have done in two days every class. We then have a discussion, and apparently, how much you engage in the discussion affects your grade, but engaging becomes difficult when you have other things in life that prevent you from sitting down for 2 hours to read every day. Also, the class itself is disorganized and disorienting. She would cancel class quite frequently. In fact, she did so about 3 times within the first 3 weeks of class. She has also only been on time once throughout the entire semester, even when class was online. If you want to have an easy A, don't take Professor Griffin. However, if you want to take African American Literature in general, I would also seek another instructor because this class is hardly educational.
