Sarah Balcom ANSC225 Expecting an A Anonymous 01/29/2015	Dr. Balcom is...interesting. She can seem really intimidating and condescending but when it comes down to it, she really cares about her students. She is really flexible in extending deadlines if you talk to her about it and you realize just how nice she is. She's very open to working on projects with you and talking you through the process. If you turn something in late or do really badly on an assignment she'll take off only a couple of points. This being said, she has to see that you're a hard worker and you're really trying. Not just trying to turn in everything late. You have to be sincere about needing an extension or wanting a good grade. She's one of the most understanding professors I've ever had. The only problem I have with her is I'm not really sure if I like how she lectures. It just seems condescending. I think that's just a personal opinion though. I'm sure other people are okay with it.
