he's honestly really chill, you just sit in class and listen to him read off the slides so you can do work for another class if you wanna. there's 2 discussion posts, 2 short papers, and an easy final. just show up everyday for the participation credit cause it drags you down if you don't

His class was generally easy to pass. Attendance was required since he did daily note cards, accumulating to the same amount of points as an exam. There was only one exam in the class and it was pretty easy. One of the questions was extremely similar to a short essay he made us write. The papers and discussions we had to do were also generally easy. Most of the background information we needed was in the slides, so research wasn't too stressful. He is a great guy, he is nice, and he cares about his students. Some professors make you feel smaller than them, but I felt like he actually cared about our opinions and feelings in the class. As an Environmental Science major, this class was only an elective for me so I was not sure fully what to expect from this class. But I think I learned some interesting information about caring for animals.

Amazing and easy to talk to! Caring, kind, interesting. Really engages with students. I've taken 3 of his classes and did well in all!

The semester I took this class, we had a relatively large class and a co-lecturer- meaning, Stricklin wasn't in the classroom most days outside of the first week! He's quite prominent in his field so you can't blame him but often he was just in his office. The content is easy and just requires quite a bit of reading and attending lecture (graded!). The worst grade I got in this class was a B- for the group presentation but we wrote it before we even saw a rubric (needless to say you should always look for or ask for a rubric before completing an assignment). Countered by discussion grade and easy exam grades, don't sweat it. just go to class.
