From the influences of Egypt, Ethiopia, and Sudan on Biblical Israel to modern histories of migration and engagement, relationships between Israeli and African societies have contributed formatively to Israel s presence in the Middle East. This course considers the long history of African and Israeli interactions, including modern migrations, religious claims, and socio-cultural developments.
