ANTH746
Applied Archaeological Theory
Restriction: Must be in the Cultural and Heritage Resource Management Program; or by permission of the Anthropology department. Does cultural and heritage resources management (CHRM) need theory? Can archeological theory help us understand CHRM conventions and configurations, and does CHRM have its own distinctive contribution to make to archaeological theory? This course explores these questions while surveying the key areas of theory that inform the work that CHRM practitioners do, and also the place of CHRM in cultural discourse.
