The class was overall incredibly interesting if you have any interest in the history of how housing and the distribution of land has been determined/will be determined for the future. The instructor for the course is incredibly passionate about the topic. The course didn't go as deep as I would have liked into the economics of how we can predict where people will decide to go, but he is more than willing to talk about it if you want to learn more. Final project has fair deadlines though the grading can be relatively strict so be ready for that. |

Dr. Newburn is a great professor who cares about the material and the students taking his class. The course is a good introduction to those who feel like they may have an interest in urban planning / environmental economics. The class is a good mix of quantitative mathematical models and more qualitative aspects such as reading economic papers and articles. I would recommend the course to anyone who feels like they may have an interest in the subject matter. |
