Kyung Koh BIOE437 Expecting an A- Anonymous 05/21/2024	A lot of people give him a low rating due to the fact that there is a big language barrier since english isn't his first language, but other than that, he is an incredibly lenient professor, he grades lightly and if he sees you put in a ton of effort, that will surely influence your grade a little bit. The only cons about having him is that he grades super slowly meaning he will only give you feedback towards the end of semester. Another problem is that a lot of the stuff that he teaches in class isn't very relevant to the lab projects and exercises so a lot of people will just go ahead and do the assignments without listening to him at all. He is open to doing one-on-one office hours to talk about the project if you are struggling.

Videos are the primary way to learn. No need to attend class (unless there is a quiz) because it's a waste of time. Instructions are not clear on assignments. Try to avoid the professor if you actually want to learn.

He fumbles on tutorials, relies on TAs, and is slow to respond to emails. Most of the course content is not taught in class but is taught via videos. The videos are time-consuming and not helpful. The ELMS page is an organizational disaster with hundreds of files not sorted into folders. The volume of work is insane for a class that is only three credits.

A lot of the class he did not teach and just posted slides and videos for us to watch. The slides were not useful for the class for the most part, and the textbook or just YouTube was very useful for the exams. He is a nice guy, but a lot of class time is wasted on things that don't relate much to the class.
Milton Davis BIOE437 Anonymous 05/28/2020	Absolutely terrible professor. Although the class is not too difficult and he is a nice person, he is terrible at explaining concepts or giving any clarity on his assignments. He also is completely unresponsive to emails and concerns.
Alvin Yew BIOE437 Expecting a B- Anonymous 12/03/2019	Literally will not listen to student feedback. Gives tests that involve a lot of prior knowledge in mechanical terms. He does not even know how to use CAD. Bad professor
Milton Davis BIOE437 Anonymous 05/06/2018	I do not recommend taking this course. Mr. Davis assigns a massive amount of homework and in-class modules, without providing any instruction or guidance . His slides, which take up about 5 minutes of class, are irrelevant to the practical exams, in which he does not provide enough time. The grading is atrocious and he grades based on favoritism.
