The professor is pretty chill, to be honest, and the class isn't hard. Just show up once a week for 50 minutes, pay attention in class, and make sure to do the out-of-class activities on time. I forgot to complete an activity and missed one or two of the after-class quizzes, but she was nice enough to open them back up for me, so she is definitely a nice professor. The things you learn in this class are very relevant to your career. The only kind of difficult assignments are the informational and mock interviews, since you need to find someone who isn't a family member, has a certain amount of professional experience in a field you're interested in, and is willing to interview you (or be interviewed in the case of the informational interview). For the informational interview, the Intern For a Day program might help you find someone, which is essentially how I found someone to interview. Aside from that, the class is straightforward, and I got a 100% in it.

Personally I really liked Professor Powell. I think it's just up to personal preference with teaching styles cuz I do see where the other reviewers are coming from. I had no problems with her tbh. The class itself can feel really pointless at times but as someone with very little work/career experience I do think the stuff you learn is pretty helpful. Most of the assignments are just easy busy work. Most inconvenient part was having class at 6pm and having to find people to do mock/informational interviews with. In general, Powell and our TA were easy to contact and were pretty engaging during lectures. I genuinely don't think she tries to make people feel stupid or inferior, but I think sometimes her tone can come across that way. Anyway as long as you just show up to classes and do the work you'll live.

Super chill professor. His lectures are pretty interactive, so he'll frequently cold call on students. He tracks attendance with a QR code in the beginning and sometimes an exit quiz at the end. But with all that said, this class is an easy A as long as you don't forget to submit the assignments. Random Facts: He's like in his mid-30s, occasionally curses during lecture, works at Visa, and used to be on the UMD Men's Soccer team.

BMGT367 is the dumbest course possibly created. VanWagner is a cool guy and has some good real world experience to put in perspective, but the class is kind of a lot of work for one credit. The class itself is a huge waste of time in my opinion, It is also only offered in an evening time which is unfortunate. Adam is really personable and easy to connect with if you put the effort in. Attendance is counted so you really do need to show up. There is also a few outside of class things that require attendance, career fair, a resume review, mock interviews, etc.

It’s the easiest yet she made it feel so dreadful every week, we had to do it with another person one week because she wasn’t here and it was so much more engaging and enjoyable.

A cool guy who gives you somewhat useful information, take 367 with him. Overall, chill course,e but attendance is a major part of your grade and mandatory.

Pretty funny guy, very nice, can be a bit much sometimes but the course is easy enough that it doesn't matter. Hates if you enter late but isn't annoying about it or anything. Attendance is mandatory

Nice professor, horrible class, waste of time even if it’s 50 minutes once a week. Genuinely 0 reason it should be in person, it is so frustrating having to waste time on such a stupid class.

Honestly not much stood out about this class or the professor. She seemed pretty nice but I never actually interacted with her. This is pretty much a TA-run class. I feel like Professor Hishmeh was knowledgeable but didn't add much to the class. I didn't really enjoy coming to class cause it seemed pointless. It wasn't that the class was bad, it's just that it was eh

I liked most of his lessons and discussions. He was always energetic and patient with his students. Some of the lessons during the course were very repetitive, but others were useful. There was slightly too much work than there should've been in this course in my opinion, but none of it is difficult. But overall, I felt Adam was a good instructor for this course.

Doesn't respond to emails. Had to send three emails to get a response. Made an easy class way harder due to lack of flexibility.

Has little to no leeway on the assignments. I found the directions to be wordy for no reason and missed some of them. One entire assignment was given a zero as a result.

Take him! 367 is an annoying class but Professor Anjorin was super cool and knew what he was talking about. The TA was useless so I recommend just emailing Anjorin directly as he always answered quickly. He is interesting to listen to and very knowledgeable. Several canceled classes and it is super easy just do the assignments and you will get a 100.

Boring. We had other professors cover her once or twice, and it was the only time I was engaged. Also somewhat passive-aggressive.

Very boring Professor, he spends the entire class time just reading directly from his PowerPoint which is pretty much common sense. Also takes attendance so you cant skip any of the useless lectures. Seems like a nice person just a horrible professor, would definitely avoid him if you could and choose a different professor

TAKE HIM!! So easy going and we barely had class. Assignments are straight forward and mostly just interviews with professionals. You won't regret!!!!

Super chill guy and very engaging with his students in class. Keep up with the assignments and you'd easily pass this class with an A. Attendance is mandatory.

Didn't even have her for 367, but was assigned her for a mock interview for BMGT367. From the hour I spent with her I can tell she is awful. Apologies to anyone who would have to deal with that for an entire semester.

She's just okay. The class is tedious with the attendance aspect of it. She has the TA doing all the grading. 367 is helpful for applying to internships/jobs but it is incredibly annoying to attend.

Super nice professor. He definitely wants everyone to succeed and as long as you do the assignments, you will. Uses his experience as a recruiter to provide real-world advice. Attendance is definitely mandatory and he occasionally cold calls.

Without a doubt the most disrespectful professor I have ever had. She talks to students like we're 3rd graders and is extremely condescending. The class was easy, which it should be since it's 1 credit, but she somehow made it so I dreaded going to her class. She barely taught the content and took the entire semester to grade most assignments. If you take this as a junior, then you'll be looking for internships while in the class, which should mean you will get helpful feedback. Don't expect that from this professor. I did not receive a single word of feedback on any assignments.
