Michael Cichello BMGT444 Expecting a B Anonymous 12/21/2023	Excellent Professor. He's always in a good mood and love students to ask questions. Definitely passionate about what he teaches. There is no midterm and the final exam is 35% of the grade so I would recommend not missing any class to get as many participation points as possible, as well as putting maximum effort in the quizzes and 3 group projects. It was a light workload throughout most of the semester. Would highly recommend especially if you enjoy options. I definitely didn't do well on final exam and so I definitely think there's at least a small curve.

Quizzes are easy, show up and you get all the participation but the case studies are greatly very harshly. The final exam is first real test and it’s hard to prepare because it’s just so much. Get your formula’s down and do the practice problems even though they aren’t graded.
Michael Cichello BMGT444 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/14/2023	Great class, super light workload. No midterm but final is not that heavy percentage wise either. The averages on all assignments were very high. Cichello is a great professor as well, the content makes sense and he doesn't go too fast either, ensuring everyone understands. I would recommend any finance major to take this class as it should be easier than the alternatives for the upper level core.
Michael Cichello BMGT444 Anonymous 10/04/2023	He is a great professor and super passionate about the class; he seems to be the pinnacle of what "teaching is passion" for an upper-level finance class. He has a quirky sense of humor and sometimes shows videos on YouTube that aren't related to his class to lighten the mood. His style is structured with open-note take-home quizzes and a final cumulative exam. He does require in-class participation but not in the traditional sense of raising your hand but using "clickers, " a synchronized PowerPoint presentation with questions to answer. I honestly have no complaints about this class; however, only take it if you're interested in Futures and Options since that is all he will talk about in this class.
Michael Cichello BMGT444 Expecting a B+ Anonymous 06/03/2023	He's a super energetic professor who's always in a good mood. He also loves student participation and discussion. Grading consists of four online quizzes, three Harvard case write-ups with a group, and a final exam. The workload is pretty light or even non-existent on most weeks, but it's important to keep up with the content. He usually posted the quizzes on ELMS on Friday or Saturday morning, and left it open until Monday at midnight. All of the questions were multiple-choice. For the Harvard cases, some can get long, so it's important to stay disciplined in your reading. He usually gave 1-2 weeks for each case write-up, and they were assigned every 2-4 weeks. The final is mostly (75% -ish) multiple-choice questions, and then one real options analysis question. As this is the only exam, it is cumulative. In addition, he only allows a one-sided cheat sheet, so it's imperative to study well for the exam. Overall, I'd recommend this course and professor if you're interested in derivatives, want a relatively light course, and are willing to study for major assignments every once in a while.
Albert Crosby BMGT444 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/17/2019	Nice guy, definitely knows his stuff, but god is this class boring. IMO classic case of smart professor who struggles to make class interesting. He tends to drone and ramble a lot (our final exam was delayed about 15 min because he had a story he wanted to tell). In his defense the material is pretty brutal and dense for undergrad level. I'm pretty sure no one knows what's going on but Professor Crosby makes the class itself relatively easy in terms of grading. I'm going to get an A but I honestly can't say I knew what the hell was going on in that class.

Dilip Madan BMGT444 Expecting an A- Anonymous 05/27/2015	honestly, it was a difficult class. Even though there is no exam, there will be quizzes that are technically pretty the same as exams. each quiz is very hard(except the first one) and you gotta be super good at math. If you have no idea about statistics and calculus, I would not recommend you take this class. Even he curves a lot at the end, no one gets everything right on his quizzes and two projects. I still remember in one of his quizzes the highest score was like 50 over 100. you will learn so much "real" future and option models compared to the simple version of Black Scholes model that you learned in BMGT 440 or other classes. overall, I learned so much and I think he is definitely one of the smartest guy in business school. maybe he is not good at explaining things, but it is all about advanced math, applied calculus, and statistics, there is no easy way to explain or teach us that materials.
