David Mosser BSCI422 Expecting an A Anonymous 05/16/2024	Dr. Mosser was a great professor. His lectures were very informative and he is extremely knowledgeable about the field. His lectures were engaging and would move at a reasonable pace. For difficult concepts he would often revisit the idea several times during a lecture to help hammer concepts home. He also has a dry sense of humor that I enjoyed. He records all lectures so lectures are not mandatory. There are weekly quizzes that are graded based on completion. Exams are composed of matching, multiple choice, fill in the blank, and three to five short answer questions. Exams were tough but fair and I never had an issue with time on the exams. You can drop one exam including the final. Overall, great professor who knows his stuff.
David Mosser BSCI422 Expecting a B+ Anonymous 05/02/2024	I had Dr. Mosser for Principles of Immunology and the only prereq for the course was genetics, however the way that the course began it felt like there was already a lot of information that he presumed that we knew pertaining to immunology so it felt a lot like a grad class. Once you catch on the course isn't terrible but it's definitely pretty heavy and a lot of memorization. Exams are tough but he does curve at the end of the semester.
Kenneth Frauwirth BSCI422 Expecting a C Anonymous 11/17/2021	He is the worst professor I ever had. He is a bad lecturer and he grades by few things. Also he doesn't seem to care about the students unless you go to his office hours, which I never did cause I took him in the summer.

Like the others have said, the material can get boring at times but he does his best to insert some humour here and there. He always, always answers question so raise your hand! For the exams, the best way to study is to know those slides! A ton of the figures from the slides are from the book but I personally didn't think you needed the book. Pay attention to the things in red on the slides and you can also just ask him what he expects us to know from the particular slide and he will gladly tell you. I also recommend recording the lectures, because the material can get pretty dense at times. Overall, highly recommend this class if you are pre-med. Kind of disappointed in the A- but he doesn't curve in the summer :/

Material was really interesting and relevant if you are pursuing med. Tests were hard but reasonable. If you study, you will most likely do fine.

I had him with Frauwirth. He's also a great lecturer. Very engaging. The material was really interesting too and he helped me get excited about immunology. Tests were hard, but reasonable. Would definitely recommend.
