Lectures - he speaks while showing slides, I don't really know how else to put it. It is not the most engaging lecture style in the world but I guess it gets the job done. I will say, he tends to go over many details and specifics that you don't necessarily need to know for the exam. Exams are short answer and based on overarching concepts from lecture. Despite being short answer, they are not overly difficult and you have the choice between which questions to answer (given 6, answer 4, for ex). But, the material can get complicated, especially if you have little to no background in systematics, physics, anatomy and physiology, etc. He does not put grades in ELMS at all. I didn't know my grade until I went on Testudo, after our final. It's a very exam heavy class (no quizzes or homework, just 2 lab reports) and not all expectations are always clearly laid out for exams/assignments. But overall it was fine. I think Dr. Shultz is a decent person and he doesn't mind answering questions or helping you. It almost seemed like he wished people would ask questions more often. I guess things have changed compared to 2014. Overall just somewhat unclear and disorganized, though.
