Special Topics in Physical Chemistry; Case Studies: Fundamentals and Applications of Nanochemistry

This special topic will focus on developing advanced research skills through case studies from cutting edge research in nanoscience. The course is open to both graduate students and senior undergraduates in chemistry and other disciplines. By the end of this course, students should have had a firm grasp of the fundamental concepts of nanoscience and developed some of the very basic research skills ready to explore a new subject. Prerequisites: The course will be self-contained, but a familiarity of thermodynamics and undergraduate level quantum chemistry will be helpful. Please seek the consent of the instructor if unsure.
