Lectures: The class was very structured and you knew what to expect. She reviews the lesson material a lot in class, having us read the lesson out loud, practicing creating sentences with the new sentence structures, etc. We also did some mini-games and learned some fun songs/tongue twisters that were pretty cool. Homework: There was homework due pretty much every other day. It isn't bad because all the assignments are pretty straightforward (e.g. vocab practice, creating sentences with new grammar, audio recording, etc), but can be stressful when the work piles up and when you have a lot of other deadlines to make. Grading: Her grading was pretty standard throughout the whole class for each assignment. I didn't think she was an overly harsh grader; Chinese is just a hard language to learn, so I did get points off on things that I thought were correct (grammar/structure wise) but were just wrong rip. Personality: From the other reviews, I think she comes off as rude sometimes because she tries to make jokes/sarcastic comments, which can come off the wrong way, but I truly don't think she has any bad intentions when she says stuff like that. I have definitely had way worse professors than her. Overall, I think she's a very flexible professor and really does care about everyone learning as much as they can. I have a good impression of her overall.

Wang-laoshi is a good teacher overall. She actually cares about her students and wants them to pass and you will get a good grade if you put in the work. She does pick favorites though and says some not-so-PC stuff occasionally.
