Classical Chinese I
Prerequisite: CHIN302 or CHIN306; or permission of instructor. Additional information: Texts in Chinese. Class discussion and course work mainly in English. Close readings and discussion of literary, philosophical and historical texts in the original language. The course situates texts in their historical context and also discusses differences between classical and modern Chinese.
