Special Topics in National/International Cinemas; Representation of Identity in Haitian Popular Cinema
This course will provide a nuanced understanding of Haiti and the Haitian diaspora by viewing popular Haitian films. Among the issues we will consider are the ways in which identity is negotiated through the lenses of class, language, im/migration, gender, and colorism.
