Wiseley Wong CMSC475 Expecting a B+ Anonymous 12/18/2024	Wiseley goes at a very reasonable pace and the course is very structured. I honestly should have gotten an A in this class, it was just me being dumb on the exams. The exams can be a bit stressful since combinatorics questions tend to be "you either get it or you don't" type questions. And on the exams, I honestly just brain fogged. Despite having gotten Cs on two exams, I still got a B+. He gives lots of partial credit even for just attempting a problem if you have the main idea, even if you don't see the solution. If I could do the class over again, I would tell myself to COME TO CLASS EVERY DAY. I only skipped 3 or 4 times during the semester, but he doesn't just teach from one book, so it's very difficult to find what he did in class if you miss. Other than that, great guy and great class.
Wiseley Wong CMSC475 Expecting an A- Anonymous 12/11/2024	This is my second time taking a course with Wiseley, and again, it is a very straightforward course. Teaches from the book, homeworks are simple but useful and relevant. Does a review in class before every exam and is good at answering questions. The exams are not hard to finish and usually have straightforward problems, but there are always one or two problems that are difficult which makes the exames not easy. Wisely cares about his students and is an overall good dude. Would recommend.
Todd Rowland CMSC475 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 09/06/2024	I loved the class. he's a very caring professor, asked us how the class could be better frequently and actually took the suggestions. He asked us how the midterm 1 went and we said it was too long so he made the second one shorter. He just genuinely wants us to learn the material and was really helpful in office hours and doubts in class. I talked to him about philosophical questions and my career and academic plans. he helped a lot. the clas itself was quite interesting. Take the class IMO. it's fun (if u like math a little) , great textbook, and useful. I would recommend you to take the class!

Wiseley Wong CMSC475 Expecting an A Anonymous 01/15/2021	Couse was interesting, Wiseley taught it well and recorded lectures. Homework and exams followed the lectures to a T and were easy enough. Average exam grades were around 90 without a curve, but that might've been because they were open for 48 hours due to online classes so you could rewatch lectures. Only nitpick is I thought it was kind of boring sometimes but that might've just been the fact that the class was online.
Wiseley Wong CMSC475 Expecting an A- tomorrow 01/12/2021	(online fall 2020) Was excellent lecturing and responsive to questions while giving proofs and examples for course content. Pace was fine and he was generous with regards to exam scheduling.
