Zaoxing Liu CMSC818Q Expecting an A Anonymous 11/12/2025	Professor is super chill and supportive, generally very responsive to student's questions and requests. The course itself is not easy but very interesting, have kind of intense level of knowledge for one semester, but I did learn a lot from it. As long as you do a good work and finish what you planned with your team, you could get a grade (members in my team all have generous grades). I kinda enjoyed the experience to pick among many different topics and be able to interact with indutry mentors in this class.

Zaoxing Liu CMSC818Q Expecting an A Anonymous 11/12/2025	I took Professor Alan’s 818Q course in the Fall 2025 semester. His lectures were excellent — clear, insightful, and easy to follow. The coursework was quite simple. For the course project, I worked with one of his PhD students, who served as my mentor. He was very patient and provided us with a detailed project README, guiding us through the project step by step every week. Professor Alan told me that I would definitely get an A in this course.
