Justine DeCamillis
CPJT200 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/04/2025 |
Dr. DeCamillis is the coordinator for the JLT scholars program, so you won't be able to escape her for your first two years of college unless you drop the program. Dr. DeCamillis is generally a nice lady. She's the type of person that will spoil her grandchildren when she becomes a grandma. But for now, she is focused on assigning an absolutely egregious amount of work to her students for an entirely useless 1-credit colloquium course for four consecutive semesters. Although she can be passive-aggressive at times, she wouldn't get nearly as much hate if she didn't assign one trillion hours of work and readings every single class. On top of that, the entire two years of CPJT classes are completely useless. Nothing is taught or learned except when the students are forced to teach themselves how to plagiarize all of the assignments. The TA, Victoria, is also an incredibly strict grader for some reason. I know like 6 people who dropped JLT altogether after the first year. Overall, the combination of a decent professor and an atrocious class brought me to a 2-star rating. (I love my JLT classmates though. Also, I have never once done a reading for this class and have never gotten below an A, so you'll lowkey be fine if you just don't read) |

Rithvik is a nice guy, but he is a tough grader and some of the feedback he provides on ELMS is not very clear; on a couple of my submissions he deducted points without giving a reason(s) why. |

He does not respond to emails, takes off points for random reasons, and caused this class so much stress. If you have him as your TA, I pray for you. Like I'm not exaggerating, he is such a strict grader and has no metrics or reasons to back up his low grades. Only way to pass the class is attend "extra credit", which is the professors nonsensical community events like going and making Christmas cookies. |

Oh my god this man will take of points for no reason and ghosts students when they try to inquire about it, he needs to chill a lot!!!!!!!!! If he's your TA your stress and blood pressure will go up considerably, prepare wisely. |
