John Merck CPSG100 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/18/2024	Dr. Merck is a well-spoken and funny professor who is truly an expert in his field. Although much of the course was led by Dr. Holtz, there were times when Dr. Merck gave lectures and guidance for projects, and in those times, he showed how much he knew and how much of a supportive person he was. I appreciated when he would give us advice. Much of the course was listening to lectures, but they were deeply engaging and fun. As long as you completed your work effectively and on time, you should have had the chance to earn a very high grade for the course. Also, he and Dr. Holtz made for a funny duo.
Thomas Holtz CPSG100 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/18/2024	Dr. Holtz is a charismatic, well-spoken, and funny professor who is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his work. I truly admired his high level of expertise and experience. There was never an instance where I disliked the content or I was bored. He kept you hooked on the content and made the overall class environment and excursions enjoyable. The majority of the course was spent listening to his lectures, while at other times, you would be working with other classmates on group assignments. Moreover, I will emphasize that attendance was mandatory for this course and that if you completed all of your work well and on time, you should have been able to earn a very high grade. I also loved his friendship with Dr. Merck. They were a great duo.
Thomas Holtz CPSG100 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/10/2024	Dr. Holtz is an extremely nice person; however the content of the lecture was not too engaging for me. However, I can see how if you were interested in the topic that his amazing and fun energy could rub off on you.
Thomas Holtz CPSG100 Expecting an A Anonymous 02/06/2021	Dr. Holtz is great. He's like the blue to Dr. Merck's red, he's a bit mellow but he also has his goofy side. He definitely tried his best to make online colloquium as fun and engaging as possible
John Merck CPSG100 Expecting an A Anonymous 02/06/2021	Dr. Merck was very kind and engaging! I remember that I emailed him to let him know that I wasn't going to be able to come to colloquium one day, and he made sure to check up on me afterward. Great lecturer and definitely knows his stuff
Thomas Holtz CPSG100 Anonymous 12/20/2020	Very nice person, and tries to make things engaging. All assignments were very reasonable, and he was very lenient about grades. However, his online teaching style sometimes fell flat making the class sort of boring at times.
John Merck CPSG100 Anonymous 12/20/2020	He's a really nice, funny guy and tries to be engaging. He's also always available to help and will never shame anyone. Unfortunately, the online format of this course made it less interesting for Fall 2020, but Merck was still awesome nonetheless.
