Sadik Aruoba ECON402 Anonymous 12/24/2021	His lectures were complex and hard to understand, especially if you only have a basic knowledge of statistics (like from AP stat or business statistics, etc). When students asked questions to clarify, he was not helpful for answering them. The average on the midterm was a 60 and he said that was pretty good/normal. The only good things were the way he designed the class to have no final exam, just a project, and to drop the lowest problem set grade. Additionally, he gave a pretty good curve at the end of the semester, but he wasn't clear about it beforehand so it kinda felt like we were in the dark the whole semester. Everyone in the class seemed to be confused and had to ask the TA for help.
Alessandra Palazzo ECON402 Anonymous 12/24/2021	She was the TA for ECON402 during fall 2021. While the professor had boring/hard-to-understand lectures, Alessandra helped to clarify the material in simple terms both after class and during office hours. I had another class during her office hours and she was very accommodating with finding other times to meet and help with the problem sets and the final project. While the professor didn't clarify anything about the final project, Alessandra was a godsend with explaining all of the sections and the exact coding necessary for it.
Sadik Aruoba ECON402 Anonymous 10/25/2021	Currently taking this class... midterm is about to happen, and I can't say I've understood a single thing the professor has said all semester, and every person at my table in class is in the same boat. If you don't already have EXTENSIVE knowledge of statistics, you will be lost for legitimately the entire class, every single week. My only saving grace for passing this class is going to office hours. Regardless I'm still going to fail this midterm, hopefully with the rest of the class so I'll at least be close to the average... just praying that I'll do well enough on the final project to pass. I hate this class.
Alessandra Palazzo ECON402 Expecting a B- Anonymous 04/07/2021	She's nice but not an effective teacher. It's very hard to understand her and the problem sets are pretty complex. This class was also very statistics based and you need to learn some coding skills. The textbook is definitely super interesting though.
