Easy class; as long as you put in the work and make some degree of effort you will get an A. There's a good amount of work, but it is just busy work and it doesn't take too much time. He is very abstract and an easy grader. I didn't give him 5 stars because other than telling stories, this class is a complete snoozefest and a waste of time. He likes to ramble on about some cognitive theories and other bullshit. The stories, however, were entertaining, and while the digital media projects were tedious and a pain in the ass, they were fun to some extent. Overall, I did enjoy this class. (P.S. The readings aren't mandatory. The book is required for exams/journals, but I never did any of the required reading and I did fine.

Took EDCI246 back in Spring 2013. One of the best classes that I have taken so far (I'm a junior). Do the required work and you get an A. During lectures, he tells his student folk tale stories. And sometimes you draw pictures based on the stories. It's a really fun class that you should take before graduating. It's the best class I have taken. Professor McCaleb really cares about his students and is open for extensions on projects if you need them. There are three projects for the course that are a large part of your grade. They are pretty easy and fun because you make up your own story to tell. It really opens up a window for creativity. The midterm (one) and final are also very straight forward. The midterm was open book. The final for what I can remember was half open book. The written portion of the final was done at home which was given a week before the scheduled final. The final itself was at 8am which sucked. I got there at 9am. It was 8 multiple choice questions which took me 2 mins to complete. I don't believe in easy A classes maybe that's because I am a engineer. But if there was such thing as an easy A then this class would be considered one.
