The main complaint is how unfair/inconsistent the grading has been. Often times it felt like the professor and TAs just didn't want to give you full credit. Somehow they're always able to find something to complain about, especially regarding the research assignment. Additionally, the weekly discussion posts are boring, and writing them is surprisingly draining. Exams are online, pretty fair, but a little hard to prepare for. Overall, it's not the end of the world if he's the only option, but I'd suggest picking another professor |

This TA ruined this class for me. She graded discussion posts extremely harshly even when the instructions for them were vague |

Class is boring, lectures are boring, and grading is frustrating. The TAs as well as the professor provide very vague instructions and are shocked when you give them vague answers. They never clarify what they're looking for, but grade pretty harshly. If there's another option, I'd advise picking them as this class's grading has been extremely frustrating. Also, the weekly discussion posts weren't interesting and were super draining to write. |

Lucas Butler is a great teacher. His TAs grading can be somewhat tough at times, but (at least in my opinion) it is fairly done. There are weekly discussions and online quizzes that are very straightforward and often a great way to boost your grade. Questions on the quiz can sometimes be a bit ambiguous, however. The exams are online as well which is helpful, and he does curve. He genuinely cares about what he is teaching and is incredibly knowledgeable on the topics as well - he doesn't just read off the slides. Overall, since this is a required class for the HD minor or major, I recommend taking it with him as your professor. |

This is an extremely easy class with prof Romeo; there are lectures once a week and a discussion that has you find articles that are relevant to what we learned and summarize. It's super easy and is never left to do outside of class. Other than that there is a quiz once a week about the lectures and only one midterm and a final. There are two writing assignments that are fairly easy and she lets you know about them well in advance. She's an extremely easy grader and will change grades if most of the class got a question wrong. As for her lectures, it is extremely boring she says um about a thousand times and is not very good at explaining concepts (luckily they're all pretty self-explanatory). I almost fall asleep every class but its still easy for a required class. |

Super nice professor and a rather easy class with a weekly quiz, weekly discussion question based on readings, a final paper, and two tests. The Friday readings were extremely dull and most people probably didn’t actually read them. |
