ShiaauLir Wang ENCE470 Anonymous 12/20/2025	This professor sees numbers NOT students. When you enter this class, be prepared to get through it. She moves SO FAST. Starting off with lectures, she just points at power points and speaks in 10x speed... seriously... she would call out on students to answer and they would literally say "i don't know". I assume her goal is to finish each chapter in one class lecture not caring if students understand. Moving on to assignments, her assignments are nonstop. Every time you finish an assignment there's another one due. Usually 2-3 assignments per week and they are NOT short assignments. Also let me not forget how she gave assignments during FALL BREAK and THANKSGIVING BREAK. Like dude.. come on let me enjoy my break without stressing over getting something done. Why do you have to ruin my peace while spending time with family and eating turkey? Now onto her exams, they aren't from pluto so if you study then you should be good but again if you can't understand lectures in 10x speed then you are going to have to put ALOT of time aside to learn on your own or with classmates. Lastly, I would consider her a STRICT GRADER. If you make a small mistake she will take all points away even if the process and everything is correct. Homework grading too strict. Classwork grading too strict. Nothing is off completion. EVERYTHING HAS TO BE CORRECT EVERY DECIMAL. As a senior taking this senior class, I don't think this class should be this stressful. The way she acts like students are only taking this class is so inconsiderate. She doesn't do any problems in class, she literally just assigns work and grades harshly. it's so insane. I'm so grateful I'm done with this class.
ShiaauLir Wang ENCE470 Expecting an A- Anonymous 11/20/2024	470 with Dr. Wang was very straightforward. Each week typically covered one chapter and had one homework assignment. Homework was rather straightforward and you were able to resubmit after corrections for credit. Exams were straightforward and Dr. Wang was very clear about what each exam covered. She occasionally brought in guest speakers who talked about professional careers related to transportation. I wouldn't call this an easy class but its not super difficult. If you did good in ENCE370, the prerequisite for this class, then you will do fine here. Dr. Wang does a nice job overall and I would recommend.
