Prerequisites: ENCE650, ENCE651, and ENCE652 or permission of instructor. In this course, students will discuss the scientific background behind a variety of larger scale environmental field projects within bioremediation, wastewater treatment/resource recovery, drinking water processing, soil reclamation, stormwater treatment and other environments. The course will include discussions of how environmental engineering professionals are pursuing large scale environmental problems. Questions such as: Which regulatory aspects are involved in the projects? What is considered project success? How are monitoring plans developed? Who will fund the work? will be evaluated.
