Took her for ENES138, the one-credit engineering inclusion and equity class. There were only a few graded assignments -- three two-page "journals" and a final paper. The grading on these assignments was strict for a one-credit elective, but as long as you connect course concepts into your writing, the class will be an easy A. The content itself could be boring at times, but I definitely learned some interesting things about engineering ethics, the professors, and the classmates! |

Created a great environment for the class, it was nice in the sense that the class was not like your traditional engineering course. Do the work, participate in class, and you’ll get an A or A+. |

The course itself is very little work, but there are also very few grades, so if you don't learn exactly what they want from you (which at least in my eyes is not intuitive) then you're sorta screwed. Instructors have their own "definitions" for what depth is in your writing, that you have to learn and lean into. Just be prepared to sort of cater your writing to what is wanted, and you'll be fine. |

ENES338K is a relatively new course but I cannot recommend it enough. I honestly looked forward to it every week because it was almost like a philosophy class where we just had discussions about different important topics within engineering. There was almost never any work outside of class minus a final paper and 2-3 reflections. While it was a 2 hr it was easy to stay awake because of the engaging conversations and because Paige always made it interesting and relevant. This was such a fun and easy way to fulfill a gen ed requirement. |
