Michael Olmert ENGL379T Expecting an A+ Anonymous 05/18/2022	Olmert picks favorites and lets his favorite students get away with anything. To become a favorite though all you need to do is demonstrate genuine interest in the subject, talk to him outside of class a couple times, and sit near the front and speak up in class. If he sees that you are engaging with the materials for the course, and genuinely interested in learning, then he'll give you a good grade regardless of how you do on the essays and tests (or if you even do them.) The tests are annoying and require you to memorize lots of dates, but once you know the format they aren't that hard. He's a pretty easy grader on essays. Take a class with Olmert only if you are interested in the topic. He knows a ton about what he teaches, and he genuinely loves what he is teaching, and his students. If you like the topic you'll have a great time. If you aren't interested and engaged it'll be really bad.
