Engineering Using High Strength Metals and Alloys

You will learn the fundamental theories and best practices based on a historical perspective and also modern breakthroughs based on computational modeling and advanced in-situ ex-situ characterization of these materials. This course will introduce the insights needed to manipulate the atomic-scale structures and engineer the next generation of materials, including ferrous and non-ferrous alloys, for a wide range of applications, including biomedical, energy, and transportation.
