Ryan Sochol ENME416 Expecting an A Anonymous 10/08/2024	Best format for classes and exams. Provides all resources needed for exams and understanding content. Extremely likeable and caries good discussion in the class. Makes many dad jokes for sure.
Ryan Sochol ENME416 Expecting a C Anonymous 10/04/2024	I had an incident earlier in the semester where I was not allowed to return to the his lab. After discussing the situation with Dr. Sochol, I was impressed by how professionally he handled everything. It was refreshing to experience that level of professionalism, especially knowing that not every professor would have been as capable of managing what, in industry, would be seen as an HR issue. Dr. Sochol's approach made all the difference, and I genuinely appreciated the way he addressed the situation.
Ryan Sochol ENME416 Expecting an A Anonymous 10/04/2024	Professor Sochol is a WONDERFUL professor. He explains the concepts well and does a really good job with his presentations. The animations and videos he creates and uses in his slides are very engaging! The class is easy if you pay attention in class and review for the exams. He likes to have fun with the conent and he makes sure every student that is willing to learn will learn. I would definitely reccomend this class if you need a tech elective or if you like / are interested in 3D printing!!!
Ryan Sochol ENME416 Expecting an A Anonymous 10/04/2024	Good professor, passionate about his class, knows the material well. Also a really funny guy, his class is one I’m excited to go to from day to day. Exams are straightforward, Professor Sochol wants his students to succeed.
Ryan Sochol ENME416 Expecting an A Anonymous 10/04/2024	Hypocritical policies. Says he will address problem questions on the exams every feels strongly about but when it comes down to it he won’t change a thing.

Ryan Sochol ENME416 Anonymous 11/02/2021	No homework in the class which is nice but workload ends up piling up near deadlines for the first 2 projects you'll be completing. After first project presentations were done, we had only 4-5 days to get the second project fully completed as well which was pretty stressful, but other than that, Dr. Sochol's exams were fair (considering that he curves pretty heavily) and the class was pretty enjoyable as well.
Ryan Sochol ENME416 Expecting an A Anonymous 02/02/2021	I loved this class. The projects are quite fun if you have a decent group and the overall workload is not bad at all. The grade scale is curved very heavily because Sochol has very high expectations so expect somewhwere in the 60-70 range to end up being an A. The exams are really tough but open note. Dr. Sochol can be odd sometimes with his expectations, but the course is great for those considering grad school.
