I would highly recommend Prof Goger! I love her style of teaching -- she and her TAs are kind, understanding, and relatively flexible. There's a few assignments, weekly discussion posts, 3 exams, and a final writing assignment. She's passionate about her work but I like the fact that she's open to new opinions and points of view (aka she isn't politically swayed and keeps a pretty neutral standpoint while remaining honest and looking at the facts). You do need to attend class to do well in the class though. Also there's ways to recover your grade! I didn't do too well on the first exam but worked hard to bring my grade up and am expecting to get an A at least |

Prof Goger is amazing. She's open to new idea and opinions and isn't "politically swayed" if you will. She remain neutral and honest and explores things from both sides. There isn't tooo much work for this class but it'd be hard to do well without actually attending class on a regular basis. There's a few assignments, 3 exams, a final writing assignment and weekly discussion posts that take only a few minutes. Highly recommend this class! I learned a ton and genuinely looked forward to her class. TA's and prof are kind, understanding, and pretty flexible |

Professor Goger was very nice and ENSP102 was an easy A. Attendance was required which was a bit unfortunate, but ultimately attending lectures and discussion will help with the exams. I just docked a star because for an environmental policy course that discussed 'environmental justice', there were about zero radical takes given and the course emphasized working through the US government for progress to be made. Teaching environmental justice through a liberal lens (i.e., not critical of capitalism, imperialism, etc.) is quite sad, and in my view not environmental justice at all. That probably doesn't matter to the majority of the UMD student body, though, and again, this class is very easy so I'd recommend it overall. |

Professor Goger was great and I enjoyed the class. As someone interested in pursuing environmental law she taught the class very well and covered information that was intereting. She is very knowledgable and approachable Class consisted of 2 midterm and a final (non - cumulative) as well as a memo assignment and some discussion posts. Overall not have to get an A as long as you show up to lecture and complete the assignments. |

I absolutely loved Professor Goger this semester. She is so knowledgeable, engaging, and overall just a very sweet woman who cares about her students. We only had a handful of homework assignments, majority of which tied into our final memo assignment. Great professor, she was such a delight for my first semester at UMD. The TAs are also amazing people who know their stuff and are very willing to help! |

Genuinely the nicest professor I’ve had at UMD so far. You can tell she’s super interested and knowledgeable in the subject and always goes out of her way to answer students questions. Exams were fair and the amount of work was reasonable in my opinion. |

LOVE PROFESSOR GOGER! Super interesting class and she is so sweet. TA's are also really helpful and the tests are easy if you go to the review sessions and take notes. Take this class |

Goger is a great professor. She is always keeping the class engaged with the class. She encourages discussion during lecture (so much that we usually had to rush to finish the rest of the lecture) and updated her slides as news came out. I wasn’t 100% I wanted to be an ENSP major before this class, but Goger’s interest in the materials convinced me to stay an ENSP major. I’m excited to take her 330 class in a couple of years :) |

Professor Goger was a great professor for environmental policy, even during online lectures. She was constantly engaging with the class by asking questions, doing polls, and asking for our opinions on current events relating to environmental policy and politics. I would say you definitely need to pay attention to everything as her tests are application-based. The memo assignment that stretches throughout the semester is simple enough as long as you keep up with the work. She was very understanding of how we felt about being online the entire semester and managed to make the class seem interesting. Overall, she’s a great professor! |

She was my TA and went out of her way to make sure we understood examples that would be covered in exams. Discussion sections are always the same - 90% of kids who don't participate, and the same handful who answer all the questions. She tried to bridge the gap between them, which I appreciated. She was extremely helpful when I needed last minute help for the term paper due, and guided me to the right direction. She was often more approachable than the professor, while being just as knowledgeable. |

I've had Dr. Goger for Ensp102, and capstone, and she's great. She makes everything interesting, gets the class to participate, and you really learn. In her policy class, she did a great job of incorporating very current news in environmental science. I wish I could fit her environmental law class into my schedule as well. |

Awesome teacher. She is a really nice professor who knows what she is talking about. The course is not very challenging if you go to lecture. There are a few easy homework assignments and a research paper and also the opportunity for extra credit. Take this class! |
