Develop the skills and learn the tools used by Silicon Valley startups to launch your dream business or non-profit organization that will save the environment! Turn your kernel of an idea into a reality that is scalable across the country or the globe. Maybe you want to save elephants, protect rainforests, solarize electricity markets, or translate your generation's complacency into action. ou will actively learn and use Ecological Design Thinking-- an iterative cycle of developing customer empathy through interviewing, experiencing ecological technology, brainstorming, rapid prototyping, experiential testing and redesigning--to develop your original solution for a problemthat you are passionate about. You will actively learn and apply Lean Startup--interview "customers" to identify their pains, gains, and jobs,and uncover evidence to support your business hypotheses--to build a model for a scalable business or non-profit that can deliver your impactful solution. You will learn in an active, experiential environment that requires working creatively, collaboratively, independently, and diligently to create a business model and tangible prototype for your solution.
