Amy Lewin FMSC270 Expecting an A- Anonymous 02/15/2026	Dr. Lewin is amazing. if you have taken 332 with her previously, I would not recommend taking 270. The content I found was very repetive and she and her TAs can be tough graders. This class has activities, a reflection paper, quizzes, a research brief, and debate, but no exams, which I liked, but again, tough grader sometimes. I would recommend taking 270 or 332 with her, but not both, because you might get bored. Overall, she is amazing, and she has so many opportunities within the FMSC department for research and other faculty discussions that getting to know her is such a privilege.
Amy Lewin FMSC270 Anonymous 10/25/2025	Dr. Lewin is a nice lady, but she is such a harsh grader and her grading criteria is not very clear. I have tried to reach out to her to schedule an appointment for office hours on a specific date and time (her office hours are on an appointment basis) because I wanted to ask her how I could improve my grade, and she had not gotten back to me on the date and time I wanted to visit her office hours.
Amy Lewin FMSC270 Expecting an A- Anonymous 12/19/2023	Dr. Lewin is passionate about her classes and she is extremely knowledgeable. In this class, we had no textbook but many articles to read. There were no exams. Throughout the semester, we had weekly activities and a research paper. The final project is a debate with classmates. The information she shares is thought provoking and she tries her best to keep everyone engaged. She likes discussions and tries to know everyone's name. I would not take this class if you have a hard time being in lecture, it's a small class and she knows when people are missing. Overall, she is caring and accommodating, especially if you talk to her.
