Very nice professor with clear expectations and guidelines, and an interactive teaching style that makes it interesting and easier to learn about translation and the different types/styles of French translation. He also takes the time to give detailed and thorough feedback on each assignment, and he gives it well before the next assignment is due, which was very helpful and much appreciated so that we could know what to work on. He is also very accommodating and understanding if you ever reach out via email. I had completed an assignment before the deadline and completely forgot to submit it on Canvas, but he didn't deduct any points because of it.

I haven’t gotten my final grade but I’m expecting an A+. I really like her class, it’s chill and online. With French being my first language I did not really focus but still manage to get a good grade. She’s very helpful! Take her and participate in discussion you won’t fail. Easy class!

Arguably the best professor in the entire french department. He is a very kind person and will always help you. His class is great, I would highly recommend it because its an easy A and you actually learn a lot.

Excellent professor who does a great job teaching the material. He grades fairly and assigns a reasonable amount of work.

I really enjoyed this class. Madame Mossman is really enthusiastic about French and really knows her stuff. She's also really open to students' translational interpretations. The class consists of a translation a week. Each translation is only a couple of good-sized paragraphs long. Each student teaches one class during the semester. Essentially, the class turns into a semester-long student-led discussion about the translation for the week, where Madame Mossman serves as a guide to make sure you don't get too far off track. It's certainly not a fluff class, but if you put in the work, you can do well.
