Special Topics in French Studies; The Structure of the French Language

Examines the structure of the French language via its four linguistic sub-systems: phonology/phonetics, morphology, syntax, and semantics with reference to historical and sociolinguistic perspectives. No prior knowledge of linguistics assumed, although any background will be helpful. Taught in French with some readings in English.
