Sergii Skakun GEOG156 Expecting an A super_cool_student 05/13/2025	If you want an easy A take this class. I mean it. The homework and quizzes were take home and easy. The HWs were mostly "follow these instructions exactly (click button here, screenshot here, type here, etc)" and submit results. There is a final project presentation instead of exam, and it is group-based. It's definitely more work than all of the previous assignments, but is still manageable (read assigned scientific paper). I stopped going to class half-way through the semester. Professor is very nice! But most people are taking this course as a gen-ed and it can generally be a snooze-fest if you aren't exactly interested in the subject.
Sergii Skakun GEOG156 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 05/12/2024	Easiest class I've taken at UMD. Material is really interesting and Skakun is such a nice guy who really wants his students to learn. Homeworks are a bit tedious but he gives step by step instructions on how to do everything and they really aren't hard. If you're at all interested in playing with satellite data and need a DSSP, take this class!
