GEOG331 Expecting an A- Anonymous 05/17/2025 |
This class was pretty chill. Dr. Gore is very knowledgeable and a good lecturer, and the workload is pretty reasonable. Instead of an essay, there was a final group presentation that was very manageable. This class didn't really have a curriculum, it kinda just bounced around to random topics surrounding sustainability. The main reading for this class was a book called "Hidden Politics in the UN Sustainable Development Goals" and while interesting at points, it was a bit of a slog and got repetitive (shocker, the UN didn't stop climate change). Between that and the random topics of the lectures, I left this class without learning much. |

She's good at what she does but whines a lot about people skipping class to people who attend class regularly. There are online open note quizzes which are based on lectures. One final paper which you get all semester to work on. Other grades just come from participation and discussion posts. |

Professor Gore is very knowledgeable and engaging. The lectures are interesting and engaging. There are not to many assignments, 5 quizzes, one paper proposal and a final paper. As long as you are engaging and participate every once and awhile you should be all good. I recommend taking her class. |
