Capstone Seminar; BERLIN: CAPITAL CITY OF THE 20TH CENTURY

Taught in German. Berlin, as an imagined city and a real metropolis, figured as a central locus of German and European culture, politics, and history in the 20th Century. This seminar examines the way writers, artists, architects, filmmakers, philosophers, and historians interacted with and represented Berlin from the fin-de-sicle period until the new millennium.
