Allison Berland GVPT318C Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/19/2024	Professor Berland is one of the nicest professors I've met at Maryland. This class is super helpful for any GVPT majors, and she invited GVPT alumni from various fields of work to come and talk about their career paths and take questions from the class. She goes out of her way to check in on everyone and ask how people are doing in and out of class, and she asks for student feedback about how the class is organized (it was organized perfectly and was super helpful). The assignments we had were very clear and straightforward, and geared towards helping us plan out different career paths. Highly recommend this class for any GVPT major.
Allison Berland GVPT318C Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/06/2024	Dr. Berland is great! She's so sweet and her class was really interesting. It's a one credit course that met on Tuesday nights from 6-7:15 which was a little inconvenient, but the speakers were all so interesting as they were GVPT alumni. You get a good range of careers that you can pursue beyond college; lawyer, lobbyist, businessmen, politician. The class was super small, so it made it feel like a Q&A which was nice. It ended after 10 weeks, too. I recommend this for those unsure of career options in the future, or an easy 1 credit course with a very limited workload.

Outside of attendance, there are only two very basic assignments. Dr. Berland is an excellent professor and a genuinely kind person!
