Periloux Peay GVPT368W Expecting an A Anonymous 02/15/2026	This class had so much potential to be so good. The assignments were all fair and fun. We had discussion posts, a podcast as the final, and two current events presentations. Throughout the class, we would watch The Wire and watch an episode in class a week, which I thought was a bit of. waste of time. He is very disorganized, did not grade anything until the end of the semester, and did not respond to emails. He is a super nice guy, and if you need an extension or to miss class, he is very chill. It was frustrating to never know what we were doing in class until he got there and decided, and you just had to be prepared. I would have liked it if he had presented on different chocolate cities and told us a bit of their politics instead of us constantly doing our own research for current events. I think he could have tied the class content together better, instead of us finding all the information on our own, and then it could have been more of a lecture on some days. Overall, great guy and potential to be a great class, but definitely an easy A to keep up with.
Periloux Peay GVPT368W Expecting an A Anonymous 12/16/2025	The most disorganized professor I have ever had in my life. The concept of the course is good, but he is so disorganized it makes the whole class very annoying to enjoy. I feel like if any other professor taught this class it would be better. He just really needs to work on his organization, timeliness, and sticking to the syllabus. He also NEVER replies to any emails, although in class he sings his own praises for how he ALWAYS does. Nice guy, not a great teacher.
Periloux Peay GVPT368W Expecting an A Anonymous 09/23/2025	I think I can summarize his teaching with a quote from the man himself, "I'm a cluster f***". Not responding to student emails that were sent days before until after an assignment is due should not be ok, especially when he preached his 48 hour response policy. The class topic was cool but his lack or organization and getting mad at students for his own mistakes is insane. Extremely discouraging for such a seemingly fun class.
