Scott Kastner GVPT414 Expecting an A Anonymous 10/10/2024	Prof. Kastner is easily the best gov professor I've had. You can tell that he is genuinely interested in what he is teaching, and he will explain everything is an engaging way. His grading is very fair and anyone should be able to get an A in his class as long as you do the readings!
Scott Kastner GVPT414 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/24/2021	I took 289J with Kastner (which is now known as 204) back in fall 2020 and then 414 with him this past semester (fall 2021). He is extremely knowledgeable about what he teaches and his passion shows through. He is helpful with meeting for office hours if you missed lecture and have questions about the slides (which are only an outline of what he talks about). I highly recommend taking a class or two with him, if you're interested in learning more about East Asia and are looking for a class with no busywork (just papers).
