This is a super annoying course that is made so much more difficult than it has to be. I'll give the professor credit because she does make the class a realistic reflection of a project management role. And that's also the worst part of the class. All your assignments are just filling out a ridiculous amount of documents with nonsense. You'll spend way too many hours filling in these template docs that you'll get absolutely nothing out of. She gives the most vague instructions so you're figuring out everything on your own and making so many assumptions and guesses, which you'll inevitably lose points for. And of course she's an annoying grader. She will find fault in literally anything you turn in and somehow manage to take off points. Not only that but she's super inconsistent with her grading, I have literally copy and pasted the same information from one of my documents which she didn't have any issue with into another document and she has left critiquing comments on the information and took off points despite her not having an issue with the information before. She makes one new person take notes each class and these are made available to the entire class. Numerous times she has made a statement about how an assignment should be done, and it has been transcribed for all to see, and she docked me points for literally doing what she said in class to do The grading is set up so that you get the chance to regrade for almost every assignment but that's what enables her to just take off points for anything. She's literally said in class that she wants us to fight for our grades if we think the way she graded was unfair or didn't properly reflect our work. It seems like she uses that as an excuse to just be as irritating as possible when grading. I can go on and on about all the little things that bother me, but overall this is a class that could be really interesting that's made into an absolute nuisance by a bad teaching style and philosophy. And of course none of the course content this is even remotely cybersecurity related. An unfortunate waste of an aces minor course imo

Class structure usually consisted of listening to a short lecture with the second half of class being dedicated to work on your group's project. Pros Professor seemed nice in person, although sometimes a bit rude in email Students were allowed to resubmit assignments if they lost points to receive most credit back, although this policy was removed towards the end of the year It was often confusing what was expected of each assignment, however, if you turn it what is asked the grading is not very harsh. The professor responded to emails regarding assignments and offered help in class Cons I would have liked the course content to be slightly more cybersecurity focused. The assignments were graded very nit-picky for minor things The class seemed a bit disorganized towards the end in terms of structure

Literally one of the worst classes I've taken at this school, and the professor is probably the worst teacher I've had through all of schooling. Absolutely nothing to do with cybersecurity, no structure, professors rude, and should not in anyway be teaching. Embarrassing to the ACES program. Avoid Avoid Avoid!
