Very nice and easy grader. There are reading reflections every week which are annoying, but they're pretty easy. She's super chill and the slides can be interesting. Class has a lot of discussion and you are graded on participation. There are no quizzes even though the syllabus said so. A few projects and 1 paper but all pretty easy. |

Sam is an incredibly lax professor. He is obviously very passionate about HESI217 and leadership in general. He is also super flexible with both curriculum and deadlines, extending certain assignments (including the final) when shown that the class is busy with other assignments. He is also very forgiving, allowing students to turn in assignments late. Class participation is a grade in this class, and even with the students that never showed up (until the last two or three classes), he didn't give a zero to anyone. In addition to HESI217 being a very easy course, if you are taking it, I'd recommend this guy. |

This class should be a lot less work for a leadership elective class. there's no late work and you'll get an 100 in the class but its so much busy work due at random times random days and he keeps you over on time ever single class period. He just rambles and its boring. Again you'll get an A but its just more so annoying and a lot of work. |

Amazing teacher. Again, not the most entertaining class, but an amazing person and really cares about her students. |

This professor had maybe 2 classes, and then proceeded to give most of the students a low grade. I reached out to her over 3 times to ask why I received the grade I did, and got no response. I would not take this class with this professor |

Very caring and considerate. Always open to extend due dates and is a good listener. The lectures were pretty boring, but it's more on the topics than Jia's presentation. She is very open to criticism / opinions and actually acts on them. Overall, I enjoyed this class. |

If you are looking for an easy DSSP, this is not the class for you, at least with Noel. This was the most work for a Gen-Ed I have had. Consistently, he is late for class and goes over on time. Most of the work is group projects, but he gives little direction on how to do the work, so most of the time, you are just guessing. However, most of the group work has to be done outside of class while he lectures on the content you already have to know before class (since you have to post on a discussion board on the readings before class starts). Therefore, his lectures are almost entirely pointless since you teach all the content to yourself. He also posts Canvas assignments after class at around 5 pm that are expected to be done at midnight with no warning when they're posted. He also is very disorganized, constantly not following the syllabus and making additional work each week. However, the only reason why he isn't getting lower than 3 stars is that he grades everything on completion. If you can take this class with another professor, I would highly recommend doing so. |

I read the other review on this professor and it made me chuckle real good. Throughout the semester, we did not have class once in person or online. There was never any feedback on any of the assignments and no grades were posted throughout the semester to track your progress. I completed the assignments that I was told to complete and still did not perform well. The material was not difficult, however the grading felt completely arbitrary because there was never any feedback on any of the assignments. I would recommend this class to someone who does not want to do much work but this professor has a couple tricks up her sleeve when it comes to grades. |

Prof Hixson is very nice, but the class is such a force, meaning that it isn't super interesting and people aren't really engaged. If you want a easy class with low expectations take this but don't expect to be super interested. |

She was so nice and was a great professor. Her class was well taught and you could email her with any questions concerning the work, extensions, etc. Just do the work and follow the directions on the assignments and you will get a really high grade! I was worried that my assignments wouldn't get a good grade but I was wrong. Don't stress. This class is straightforward. |

I would definitely recommend this class if you are looking for an easy gen-ed. Professor Hixson is very understanding and makes class fun and interactive. |
