This course will enable students to understand cultural influences on communication, communication disorders, language, and society. Exploration of (self and others') perceptions, stereotypes, media influences and identity will be used to understand how society shapes and responds to language usage. We will also the legal and ethical implications of serving culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
