This class requires a lot of studying and outside work but there are many opportunities to practice the content. There are quizzes (more like tests) and lecture assignments every week that require you to attend every class. The class is structured more like a highschool class but I felt like I understood every unit before the exams. The professor is kind and thorough but sometimes there are contradictions in her slides and lectures.

She is the sweetest instructor, she really cares about the students well-being and understanding in the course. Exams were a bit tricky but she is very supportive! Would definitely recommend her for this course

This class is very difficult, but Dr. Sohns makes things doable and more fun for each of her students. She really does care about her students and wants us all to do well, even with the difficulty level of this class. I recommend Dr. Sohns to anyone in HESP! Though her exams are a bit hard, she does her best to prepare us to her best ability.

One of the nicest professors you will encounter. Her quizzes and hw all alligned with the lectures. She made herself readily available, and was very understanding when an emergency came up.

Anderson is so sweet and the course was very interesting. All of the lectures and homework aligned with the quizzes and exams nicely. All information was easily accessible, no textbook required.

I loved this course and Dr. Anderson, it was really a pleasure coming to class and learning from her. Course materials were always fantastic. Worksheets are great and cover all necessary information (and it was great to do them in breakout rooms and get help when necessary from TAs and Dr. Anderson). The Kahoots are fun in class and a great way to study, and I liked how the lectures were synchronous and recorded. Sometimes I couldn't make class (or was just burnt out) and having the recorded was great, but the synchronous lecture is good for being involved and invested in the class. Quizzes are straightforward and helpful for general knowledge and for the exams. Exams are very fair. She was very accessible during office hours and very sweet, I'd recommend her any day.

Professor Zalewxki is a great teacher. He's funny and makes class very comfortable. The test are EXACTLY FROM THE SLIDES! Literally memorize the slides and you'll ace the class. Anything in little print is a possible extra credit question. His third exam offers 15 points extra credit, and every other test offers about 10. He's reasonable, he responds back to your emails. Go to class because he takes it to heart if you don't come.
