Hearing Aids lab

Laboratory experience covering clinical procedures of concepts addressed in concurrent academic course, Hearing Aids 1 (HESP700). This laboratory is 1-credit and graded separately from HESP 700. Students will be given the opportunity for hands-on practice in the use of amplification devices for the treatment of hearing impairment. As the first lab in the course series, students will be able to describe and apply current best practices required for amplification-based aural (re)habilitation for patients across the lifespan including those that may differ from them in race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic background.
