The class is the still the same as all the other reviews have said. There are only two assignments (a paper and a slideshow) as well as the final. They weren't difficult, just make sure to be consistent in spelling and grammar. The readings are not needed at all. All you need to do is take notes during lecture and you will pass with a good grade. Definitely recommended if you want a light class. |

Mandatory lectures and readings make it difficult to understand what should be noted. Takes a long time to respond to emails and is very picky about assignments including the slides for the semester project. Requirements for the final exam were 3 few sentences and vague. |

Boring as hell class, ez to do, literally one of the most nit picky and odd professors with assignments. Learned nothing and wish I never took it |

It's clear Prof. Baron is really dedicated to this topic. The class was very light, she does take attendance and it does count for a grade. Other than that, there are 2 assignments, a paper, and a slideshow. She definitely is particular about citations on the paper, so keep that in mind, and she shares a lot about her preferences for the slideshow in class (which also seem oddly particular, but doable if you take note of them), but she is by no means a harsh grader. Class is always just a straight lecture from Prof. Baron, and you're expected to take handwritten (or stylus-on-iPad) notes only (and she will call you out if you're using a laptop). Make sure to take diligent notes and attend the review session on Reading Day, because they are really helpful for the final, which is a take-home short ID test. The readings are not necessary. Unfortunately, she doesn't really have a syllabus, and she doesn't put grades in on time at all (the two assignments were due in early October and November, and both were not in until mid-December, so I had no idea what my grade was until a few days before the final). |

Easy class, although attendance is mandatory and lectures are a little boring. |

Great professor, really light workload. Class is lecture-only, and readings are not really necessary. There were three assignments that I am sure any competent writer could do very well on. The lectures were interesting, and it was a pretty optimal elective for a somewhat difficult semester. |

Very interesting lectures and a relatively easy grader. My only complaints were her tending to not include names (etc.) in lecture slides, taking well past the drop period to enter in any grades, and not having (from what I could find) a syllabus posted. You have to attend lecture and take hand written notes. I didn't find it necessary to do any of the reading. |

She is nice. However, she doesn’t get back to you within a timely manner, and has ignored many of my emails. You won’t know your grade the entire semester because she simply did not put grades in. Lectures are lengthy and reading was a lot. |
