Professor Dolbilov is a GREAT professor. He may go on tangents every now and then, but I enjoyed going to every lecture. The assignments consisted of 5 short papers which were about the discussion questions we answered in class, one midterm paper, and a final exam paper. He is very approachable outside of class and very open to answering any questions that you have. He spent over an hour after class with me just taking about the course and history/current events. He is an easy grader and will work with you to get assignments done. If you put forth the smallest amount of effort you will do great in his class. He also speaks Russian and Albanian which is pretty cool.

Really enjoyed taking HIST319P with Professor Dolbilov. His accent has a bit of a learning curve to it, but it's not too bad after a few classes. He'll answer pretty much any question, and I found lectures to be interesting. As long as you put forth the effort, you'll do great in this class.

He's super knowledgeable about everything Eastern Europe, well beyond the scope of the class, and can answer any question you have, so if you're interested in a topic he teaches, definitely take his class. The readings can be dense, but he goes over everything again in class, so even if you didn't understand something you read, you'll get it after lecture. Easy A if you actually do the readings and put in more than bare minimum effort for assignments. Flexible with due dates, won't take points off even if you're a week late. He's a great professor, and you'll find he's a really nice guy if you stay after class to talk to him sometime. He's more afraid of you than you should be of him tbh, definitely has stage fright.
