Michael Ross HIST454 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/24/2025	History majors/minors will often say taking a course with Robert Chiles is a rite of passage and a must before you graduate. I would have to add Dr. Ross to that exclusive list. He is easily my favorite professor at the university. His lectures are entertaining, require insightful discussion, and are paper-only (no pesky distractions). He is outstanding at teaching and keeping students engaged; I would listen to that man talk about afforestation for a semester with a smile on my face. His grading is harsh but fair, and his assignments are few but meaningful. He is often freely available to talk about class material, too. He is also considerate when it comes to student concerns and opinions, and tailors the class to best suit students. Overall, amazing course, amazing professor, and I definitely have to take another class or two with him before I graduate. Could not recommend him more!!! Seriously, take his class!!!!!
