M Reynolds HLTH420 Anonymous 03/13/2026	Dr. Reynolds is nice and does like to keep people engaged. However, the way she goes about engagement is a bit too much. I have the class at 9:30 (because that's the only time that fits my schedule) and she will have us get up and walk around the classroom for activities at 9:30 am. She is a pretty harsh grader when it comes to presentation assignments. It is nice that she has a two day grace period for all of her assignments. As someone who has had Dr. Reynolds for three different courses I think her classes are too engaging. She says that she makes class engaging so that people really learn the content. However, I just don't think her activities make me engaged at all. It feels more like middle school health activities. For example, she will hand you a paper with a public health term and you have to match with someone who has that definition. She doesn't really have any tests for any of her classes. She gives out projects. She takes attendance by giving out name cards and if you miss more than two days you drop a letter grade. I had missed two days and she did not forget to remind me of the syllabus and that if I missed again she will drop me a letter grade. I think she is nice but is pretty passive aggressive to those who she doesn't like. I normally come in late to her class because I commute and I can get the vibe that she does not like me for it. She also posts assignments without explaining them in class. If I did not regularly check ELMS I would not know about her assignments. With that being said, if you are the perfect student, participate in class, always show up, and are never late you will be fine. But just know she will be passive aggressive to you if you are not the perfect student.

No exams, but 2 in-class presentations, a final video project, and a 30-40 page Unit Plan that is dreadfully long and tedious. Overall, I didn't mind the class but the Unit Plan assignment was awful. 1 day in-person, 1 day online format.

She has this dumb policy if where we miss 2 or more classes we drop a letter grade. This professor is terrible and grades way too harshly. For the major you have to take her class but just be warned she is a horrible teacher and i wish i didn’t have to take her class!
Robin Sawyer HLTH420 Anonymous 05/12/2013	THE BEST PROFESSOR! if you're taking this class, only take it with him! Register early, because it fills up fast. Couldn't imagine this course with anyone else but Dr.Sawyer. Most of your time in here is spent presenting, but he makes you feel so comfortable. As someone who hated presenting, this turned out to be my favorite class.

THE BEST PROFESSOR! if you're taking this class, only take it with him! Register early, because it fills up fast. Couldn't imagine this course with anyone else but Dr.Sawyer.
