A laid back and stress-free class. I enjoyed his lectures and the few assignments we had were very doable. Would recommend.

Dr. Connor is super chill guy who is passionate about what he's talking about. The class is also equally as chill and most assignments were completion if you put in any effort. The content was kind of repetitive and honestly I don't know if you really need to go to class everyday to pass. However, I don't know if it will be the same in the following semesters as he said he would change up the course to get more engagement. I'm a STEM major and I just took the class for the honors requirement but if you are into sociology you might find the class interesting. Some of the things you learn are pretty eye-opening. The main assignments are a group presentation and a final presentation that can be a recorded lecture, podcast, etc. There are also readings that you are suppose to do before every class but honestly you don't need to read them. The other assignments are just regular gen-ed assignments like a mini-essay, presentation, and some paragraphs answering questions. The presentations he gives are posted on canvas but lectures are not recorded. Overall, the class is very chill and shouldn't take up more than an hour of your free time each week. Would recommend.

Very chill class, few assignments to complete that aren't very difficult. This class is chill to take for the honors cluster
