Dr. Frauwirth is clearly knowledgeable in his subject area, but I did not find the structure of this class, HNUH248Q, engaging. It was supposed to be discussion-based, but he ended up doing most of the talking. This was partly because people were not participating a lot, but also because he tends to describe things in a lot of words. I also was not a fan of the assignments: a large percentage of your grade is based on a final presentation at the end of the semester, and the rest is distributed between four 3-5 page writing assignments. If you do poorly on some of the writing assignments (which is semi-likely because Dr. Frauwirth is rather nitpicky) it puts a lot of pressure on you to do well on the remaining few assignments to raise your grade. That being said, he may add more smaller assignments in future semesters, as multiple students raised the concerns that I described here.

No organization whatsoever. Announced the final presentation is worth 50% of our grade and never released our graded rubric and didn't give proper guidelines to create our presentation. The essays (2 over the course of 3 months, and 2 over the course of 3 weeks) are graded on his own feelings on the topic and not the actual paper with very subjective grading and comments. There are still 2 essays that haven't been graded (it's been a month after they were due) and the class itself is not super organized. He is a good guy and seems to be a good teacher, but this class was terribly organized and the assignment were confusing.
